Welcome to my portfolio website. I am here to introduce my work. I am a Film Director, Journalist, Scriptwriter, Casting Director. I am also lecturing in the Institute of Journalism at Vilnius University. Besides working on my own film projects, I am looking forward to directing music videos and commercials.

Jorė Janavičiūtė has a BA in Journalism from Vilnius University (2014), has completed a Film Production course in European Film College in Denmark (2015), and holds a Film Directing MA from Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater (2018). Her debut short film “Where Things, Where People Disappear” (2017) has been screened in almost twenty festivals around Europe like Zlin FF, 2ANNAS, “Tofifest”, Vilnius International Short Film Festival, European Film Forum “Scanorama”, Lübeck Nordic Film Days, etc. The film also won the Silver Screen award “Young Director Award” in Film School (Europe) category in 2018 as well as the Best Fiction Film prize in BEAST IFF 2019 in Portugal. Her short documentary "<3 / Less Than Three'' had an International premiere in Ji.hlava IDFF 2019. A short film "Parking Lot" was released in 2021 and now is travelling in the film festivals. It was screened in Palms Springs International Shortfest, HollyShorts, FEST - New Directors | New Films Festival, etc. Her new short "How To Be A Human Being" premiered in Vilnius International Film Festival "Kino pavasaris" in 2023. Currently Jorė is developing a feature film project, lecturing at Vilnius University, writing articles for Lithuanian media, as well as working as Junior Programmer in Vilnius International Short Film Festival and in casting on film, TV, and commercial productions.
